General Manager Scott Trahan founded the Geismar, LA based specialty chemical company, Chemtech Chemical Services, LLC, in June 1998 with Eric Mistretta, who serves as vice president & technical manager.

Chemtech started with a focus primarily on Louisiana, however by 2004, approximately 50% of Chemtech’s business came from out-of-state customers. Chemtech now provides services and chemicals throughout the United States and Canada, with future plans for doing business in the Caribbean & Europe.

In November 2003, Chemtech opened a state-of-the-art blending/manufacturing facility located in Geismar, Louisiana. Chemtech has managed to increase both productivity and retained earnings by becoming totally self-sufficient. Chemtech has 45+  employees which include Sales, Service, Production, Trucking, Technical/Engineering, Laboratory, and Administrative departments.
